We often talk about all the new literacies that the 21st century brings and how we as educators must develop an awareness of the newer modes of communicating… I (Yiola) do agree and yet, we must be recognize there are losses too.

Literacy Teaching and Teacher Education 
This is such an important consideration. And what losses for what learners? How do educators keep up with new TOOLS without forgetting or eliminating (perceived) old ones that may still hold value for some learners. I am still puzzling through the ideas about teaching “script.” Thanks for this fun comic to consider further…
